Confess, Fletch

Review

This was an unexpectedly fun movie. Jon Hamm plays the titular character who returns to an apartment where there has been a murder. He is the prime suspect when the police arrive, but he plays everything cool and offers to help them solve the murder. Throw in an oddball mystery about art theft with a family conflict you end up with an intriguing story with many layers.

It features a bunch of eccentric characters and some great chemistry. The movie has many fun scenes, none more so than the nonchalant way Fletch escapes his police tail on numerous occasions.

It is an especially fun low-key whodunnit comedy with many quips and clever one-liners. It reminded me of See How They Run, but leaning more on the story than style, which makes it a better movie overall.
