Review
A supernatural horror, a crime thriller and a cult drama. This movie tried to blend all three, but it doesn’t quite work. There are some brilliant scenes and it’s competently made.
The movie has a really strong opening. A twenty-minute setup that I hoped would manifest during the movie. It did, but only in small ways. There was a confusing mess of an ending that tried to tie everything together but just ended up leaving way more questions. The investigative middle was ok but bloated.
I think everyone knows he grew up in San Francisco.
