Review

I was expecting a movie about a young girl climbing Everest, but instead 80% of the movie focuses first on her family life, then education and some basic mountaineering training.

While the production values were ok for the type of movie, there were few locations and average photography. The final ascent photography was a departure from the rest of the movie, appearing amateurish.

It’s an inspirational story, but gets bogged down with politics and lacks focus, it is let down by its poor screenplay. There are some poignant moments, mostly around her best friend. Overall it could’ve been so much better.
