This movie follows exactly the same beats as Plus One; two singles hooking up for “holidays” (instead of weddings), realising their feelings, but afraid of commitment and finally redemption.
There are some very odd side characters and distracting side-plots. There are some nice moments, a few funny moments and very cheesy.
This feels like a paint-by-numbers movie; the acting is fine, the editing is fine, the direction is fine. It’s bright and full of soft-focus. Everything is fine, but completely soulless.
