Opera is now free. No, I don't mean the so-called "art" form, I mean the web browser. Last month, in a 10-year celebration, the company gave away serial codes for Opera8 for one day and one day only. Today it seems they've gone one step further; removing adverts and the cost. So now you can try it out yourself without the inbuilt adverts (or cost).

What does this mean? Hopefully, not much, but at least it's another free competitor to the web-developers dreaded nightmare - MSIE.

Now, when's gBrowser going to be available?
