Just a blog… …and this is the permalink page.

Windows Twentieth Anniversary

Well, this month “celebrates” the twentieth anniversary of Microsoft Windows.

It’s the operating system used on nearly 95 percent of all the desktops and notebooks sold worldwide

I say “celebrate”, however, most of us can’t live without Windows now. It’s an integrated part of our society. Windows is renowned for its ability to crash relatively easily (blue screen of death) but in more recent times (since the explosion of the internet) it’s security issues.

Although, it’s probably the most user friendly operating system out there (though I’ve not used a Mac, and they’re known for their usability). Everyone from kids in schools to your grandparents manage to use it on a daily basis from writing letters to ordering holidays online.

Love it or hate it, Microsoft Windows is hear to stay.

Warning: I am in the process of migrating to a new system. The blog should still function but there might be some funkyness in certain places.

This will be fixed soon.
