Just a blog… …and this is the permalink page.

Free Mac Wifi

In the US, Nintendo and MacDonalds have teamed up with the Wi-Fi provider Wayport to allow wireless internet hotspots in their resturants. Nintendo WiFi will allow users of the DS to play other people over the internet, for free.

What will this mean? More consumers will play online, making a better and ranging experience for everyone who uses the service. You’ll see a lot of fat kids playin’ their DS

Another issues is, can you use ANY WiFi enabled device to access the internet from these outlets? Laptops and PDAs… I’m sure someone will manage to hack these to work.

The service is available from November 14 at selected outlets within the US.

Nintendo also announced that the DS won’t be the only product to be able to use the WiFi service. The upcoming Revolution console will also be able to connect.

So, who fancies lugging the Revolution console, controllers, adapters and a TV to your local WiFi enabled MacDonalds?

And let the jokes begin…

Warning: I am in the process of migrating to a new system. The blog should still function but there might be some funkyness in certain places.

This will be fixed soon.

I hate to ruin your fun, but I think it might mean for home use. Of course if you it does appear that the revolution will be the smallest of the 3 next gen consoles, so if you wanted to take it to McDonnalds, besides a few raised eye brows, you may get away with it.
