No, I’m not offering free mints. But if anyone wants to send me some, I think I’m addicted.
Anyway, back to Mint. Mint is the brand new (to us meer publicans) statistics extravaganza from web guru Shaun Inman. A very stylish stats program using PHP, MySQL and JavaScript to provide you with loads powerful information and all presented using a great interface (from what I’ve seen).
The Mint website, I think, is very stylish in it’s own right, with a great sense of layers. The demo is currently disabled, due to the load on the site, but there is a short quicktime movie you can watch to get a feel for it. And, all the hype surrounding this release looks to be true. It’s behaviour looks great, and the interface looks extremely well organised. Couple all this with a useful API (no documentation though, yet), and you’ve got an amazing extensible application.
Worth $30? I’m not sure. I’d like to play with the demo first, get a big website out, then I’ll definitely think about it.
