Google April Fool's Day

Well, the guys over at Google have been having fun on April the 1st once again. Last year they announced Gmail, which wasn’t a hoax as everyone now knows. They have played around with Gmail a little today, on it’s first birthday, announcing a storage capacity of Infinity+1. Below is an image that has appeared on the Gmail login area

Another hoax appeared on Slashdot about Google obtaining a satellite to take photos and will be passing over each time zone between 10 and 11AM. If you stand outside and wave you’ll appear on these photos as a “blur”…

Another Hoax by Google themselves this time announces a drink called “Gulp” which is in Beta stages. The drink, available for a limited time only, is said to maximize your surfing efficiency by making you more intelligent aswell as quench your thirst. Below are the flavours being touted…

Now, a lot of people forget about this, but all April Fool’s jokes should be finished by noon. But this is now difficult with the internet, but still, let’s try and stick to the rules!

Warning: I am in the process of migrating to a new system. The blog should still function but there might be some funkyness in certain places.

This will be fixed soon.

Today’s April Fool, tomorrow’s new products. How long before they do actually start making something like Google Gulp? It’s not beyond the realms of possibility.

Slashdot’s just been full of April Fools today, normally I can spend ages reading it and putting off real work - but today I was rather productive, and it looks like others have been too.
