I received a reply to a job I applied to last week. I sent off my CV and a covering letter. Then they required a CSS-driven, semantic HTML markup and accessible mockup of an image they provided. I sent mine back finished the day I received it. Here’s the reply I got:
We were certainly impressed with the quality of your code and the way you tackled the assignment. We do however currently have an urgent need for people to start in January or February.
Please contact us again when you have graduated to see if we have any vacancies at that time. We’ll also keep your details on file and will contact you later in the year if we have any opportunities.
Shame about my university commitment at the moment, but hopefully I’ll get some positive feedback, like from Sift.co.uk, at other places I apply to in the future.
