Ebay was a great idea, a vision of genius. The idea of bringing an auction room to the worldwide mass was a stroke of genius. No other site, as far as I’m aware, has done it better, nor has such a global following of users. However, this genius can quickly turn into stupidity in the hands of a minority of the general public.
If you search Ebay for “Glastonbury Mud” your’ll find a range of stupid auctions. Even more stupidity can be found from the bidders, £490 for some mud is a tad over the top in my opinion. Seriously though, just go to the end of your garden (or your next door neighbours will do), with a spade or trowel preferably, and collect as much mud as your heart desires. You can even keep the grass, worms and anything else you find, I’ll let you.
